Thomas P. Sheehan
Chairman
Tom started Universal Distributors of Indianapolis, Inc., as a sales company, in 1967. Universal grew to be one of the largest independent distributors of encyclopedias in the United States. From the success of that sales company, Carmel Financial Corporation was incorporated in 1988 with the initial mission of financing sales generated by Universal. Carmel quickly expanded its horizons and began financing sales of other companies. Tom foresaw the need for technology and procured some of the most sophisticated tools in the industry, which include state of the art, network-based computer systems and a digital document imaging system. Under Tom's continued guidance, Carmel has expanded its financing into new business lines, and expects to maintain its rapid growth.

Tracey Sheehan
President
Tracey became President of Carmel Financial in April 2001, after having previously held positions as Vice President of Operations and Vice President of CFC Mortgage. She remains heavily involved in all facets of business operations with a focus on the efficiency and effectiveness of credit and collection teams. Tracey is also heavily involved in the development of new business opportunities and oversees the direction of American Accounts Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carmel. Prior to Carmel, Tracey coached Women's Basketball at the Division I level, where she honed her skills in the development and management of groups and individuals through goal development, team-building strategies and motivational tactics. Tracey was inducted into the University of Denver Hall of Fame in 1993. She holds two undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Business Administration and a Master's Degree in Instruction and Curriculum.

Joseph P. Helstrom
Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Joe's experience comes from "Big 6" public accounting and senior management positions at several multi-billion dollar companies. Prior to joining Carmel in 1997, Joe was Director of Treasury and Tax for Delco Remy International, a holding company for approximately 30 domestic and foreign auto parts manufacturing companies. Prior to this, Joe was responsible for financial planning, reporting and analysis at Thomson Consumer Electronics. Joe's experience in financial management, analysis, strategic planning, financial systems and specialized areas, such as taxation, treasury and acquisitions has been of great benefit in Carmel's current growth, as well as positioning Carmel for future growth. Joe is a CPA.

John D. Hallett
Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer
John has significant experience in computers and telecommunications as a military officer responsible for designing and installing systems at various military bases. Prior to joining Carmel in 1997, John was responsible for all military data and voice communications systems in Indiana. Since joining Carmel, John has improved the quality and performance of all of Carmel's technology assets, and is in the process of re-designing key computer sub-systems to enhance Carmel's customer service and analytical capabilities, as well as provide efficiencies in the organization. Carmel's continued emphasis on technology will keep John very busy for the foreseeable future.
